Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Tennessee and an Executive MBA in Business from Emory University in Georgia. She worked for Philips Consumer Electronics out of Atlanta for twelve years after college in several different roles. She started in the sales division, moved into marketing and finished her career at Philips as the Director of Business Intelligence for the US Division. Her experience at Philips took her overseas and all over the United States giving her insight into many very different people and cultures. She and her husband met in Atlanta, but moved to his hometown of Springfield, Tennessee to start a family, and to start a business of their own on his family’s century old family farm. Kathy has worked in a consulting role in Robertson County for Community Bank & Trust where she was in charge of marketing and PR for the institution. One of her main goals was to support the school system, teachers and children. Under her management, the bank gave over 50% of the marketing budget per year in direct support to the schools. Due to her increasing interest in the school system and kids in Robertson County, she joined the Chamber Education Committee and is the chairman of that committee for 2010. The goal of this committee is to bring business and industry to the table to support public education in all ways. After her 3rd child was born, she and her husband started an All Natural Beef business from their farm promoting better food and better eating habits for everyone. Being able to get healthy food is important in the lives of our children and Kathy not only strives to educate people every day for the sake of her convictions but she is actively involved in the community supporting anything that supports the children.
