Born and raised in Southwest Florida, Rachael attended the University of Florida, graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism. She then traveled to Australia, receiving a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Adelaide, South Australia.
After spending several years in both the journalism and business fields, Rachael realized that her passion was working with children. She married Mark in 1994, and for the next nine years taught kids from preschool through high school, both in the classroom and as a one-on-one tutor. When Jack was born in 2002, Rachael embarked on the next phase of her career: being a stay-at-home Mom.
Mark, Rachael and Jack moved to Robertson County in 2003. Lily Grace was born in 2005. Rachael has remained involved in education as a substitute teacher in Robertson County. She is active in her children’s school, Coopertown Elementary School, and serves as the 2010-2011 PTO president. She also is active in the children’s ministry at Coopertown Community Church.
